HAN Announces First Investment
(HUNTSVILLE, AL: May 3, 2006) The Huntsville Angel Network announced today the completion of its first angel investment, a $400,000 round of expansion capital for Monte Sano Pharmaceuticals, Inc.
"This first investment by the Huntsville Angel Network represents a major milestone for capital formation in the Huntsville area." said Dick Reeves, Chairman and Executive Director of the group. "Organization of the Huntsville Angel Network means raising capital for new and developing businesses will be much less time consuming for entrepreneurs and investors alike."

Monte Sano markets its products to physicians through its own sales force, and distributes its products to consumers through pharmacies. The company started up in early 2002, and has been a client of BizTech, Huntsville's technology-focused business incubator, since 2004.
